James currently coordinates partnerships and linkages between Jacaranda Health and county governments ensuring Jacaranda Health programs are scaled up effectively and efficiently. He also assists in coordinating quality improvement (QI) work for Jacaranda Health aiming to improve systems and processes in healthcare.
He coordinated recently concluded quality improvement for the SPARQ (Strengthening Patient-Centered Accessibility Respect and Quality) project at four public health facilities in maternity and family planning in Nairobi and Kiambu Counties gaining significant quality improvement experience and a keen interest in quality health care systems which is pivotal to achieving universal health coverage.
Prior to joining Jacaranda Health, James worked as a monitoring and evaluation coordinator at Kidogo Early Years, a social enterprise coordinating research and monitoring evaluation activities.
James holds an MPH from Kenyatta University. He likes working and interacting with people. In his free time he likes reading informative articles including journals, policies and blogs. He is passionate about patient-centered care and quality health care systems.
