Jane is a jovial and active nurse mentor who holds a diploma in registered nursing and a bachelor’s degree in nutrition & dietetics and has completed many more short courses in reproductive health. Her 13 years in nursing has given her a wealth of experience dealing with complications in maternity allowing her handle all conditions with confidence.
Immediately before joining Jacaranda, Jane worked with the Kenya Red Cross society, Islamic relief Kenya, International Rescue Committee in Kakuma, the Dadaab refugee camps and the Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa. During her time at Jacaranda Health, she has helped the organization grow through quality improvement initiatives, group antenatal care, individual mentorship for maternity nurses, facilitating simulation drills, facilitating trainings in emergency obstetric care and continuous medical education of medical personnel in various health facilities.
Jane aims to see a world where there is quality and respectful maternity care. She is a family woman and when out of work, she likes attending social events, traveling, as well as listening and dancing to music.
